Position Overview: We seek an energetic and flexible Food and Beverage Intern to join our Bandon Dunes Golf Resort team. If you want hands-on experience in the food and beverage industry at a premier golf resort, this opportunity is for you. As an intern, you will learn alongside our expert staff and contribute to exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort: Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Southern Oregon coast near the charming community of Bandon. Bandon Dunes boasts 5 of the top 16 public golf courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. In addition, our award-winning par-3 golf course, Bandon Preserve, directly supports the resort’s grant-making department, the Wild Rivers Coast Alliance. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon. Beyond premier golf, guests enjoy a variety of dining options across Bandon’s 9 restaurants.
Bandon Dunes is also growing. Ghost Tree Grill, Bandon’s newest dining experience, will open this fall. A new par-3 golf course, Shorty’s, is under development and will further enhance the resort’s charitable giving when it opens.

Key Responsibilities:
- Restaurant Rotations: You will rotate through restaurants to gain exposure to different aspects of food and beverage operations, including upscale dining, casual dining, and special event catering.
- Guest Service: To create memorable guest experiences, you will attend to guest needs with exceptional service, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Culinary Exposure: You’ll work alongside chefs and kitchen staff to understand food preparation, presentation, and quality control. You will develop skills in menu planning, sourcing ingredients, and culinary creativity.
- Beverage Management: By working with beverage service, you’ll learn wine and cocktail knowledge, proper pouring techniques, and how to maintain a well-stocked bar.
- Event Coordination: You will plan and execute special events, banquets, and private functions with our team to develop skills in event logistics and coordination.
- Health and Safety Compliance: You will contribute to a clean and organized work environment by learning about food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Team Collaboration: Collaboration with various departments, such as kitchen staff, front-of-house teams, and management, will teach you the cross-functional nature of food and beverage operations.
- Talent Enhancement: You will gain experience on the business side of Food and Beverage operations, including participating in candidate interviews and refining job descriptions. You will conduct wage analysis for key positions in the Food and Beverage department to contribute to informed decisions regarding compensation.
- Professional Development: By attending workshops and training sessions, you’ll enhance communication skills, customer service abilities, and industry knowledge.
Qualifications:
We are seeking students who are pursuing or graduating with a degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Industry experience and the ability to communicate clearly in English will ensure you can contribute right away in our fast-paced, flexible environment.
